From October 28 to 31, 2023, the 88th China International Medical Equipment Fair (CMEF) and the 35th China International Component Manufacturing and Design Show (ICMD) took place at the Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Center. MedAsia joined the event to meet clients, visit suppliers, and see the latest innovations in medical technology. Here is a recap of the fair and our experience.

CMEF Autumn 2023 at a Glance

The 2023 autumn edition brought together nearly 4,000 brand companies from more than 20 countries and regions, presenting tens of thousands of innovative products.

• Theme: "Innovative Technology: Pioneering a Smarter Future"
• Venue size: close to 200,000 square meters of exhibition and conference space
• Dates: four days, October 28 to 31
• Forums: more than 60 forums and conferences, with nearly 700 industry leaders, professionals, and academic experts

What Was on Display

The exhibition featured nine pavilions showcasing innovative products across a wide range of fields, including:

• Medical imaging
• In vitro diagnostics
• Medical electronics and medical optics
• Hospital construction and operating room solutions
• Disinfection and infection control
• Medical consumables
• Orthopedics, rehabilitation, and elderly care
• Medical equipment production and supply chain

MedAsia at CMEF 2023

MedAsia took part in the fair as an exhibitor and visitor. It was a special occasion for us: for many of our foreign customers and partners, it was their first visit to China since the pandemic.
